It Started with Bees...
In 2018 Rivercity Innovations founder Jeff Shirley needed a solution to track location and temperature of his 500 beehives. BeeSecure was created, and operates still as a brand owned by Rivercity Innovations. The COVID hit the world. That’s where everything began.
Rivercity Innovations’ first client was the Government of Saskatchewan, preventing rural crime and tracking assets. Today our clients include government, enterprises, local businesses, schools, hospitals, veterinarians, pharmacists, ice cream stores, and so much more.
...Then a Pivot to Preventing Loss in Cold Chain operations...
Over 10,000 of our TxH temperature monitoring sensors are used by hundreds of stores across North America, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Spain. Our cold chain temperature monitoring solution improves operational efficiencies while preventing food loss. This directly reduces the carbon footprint of our clients. Our proprietary Sustainability Calculator enables enterprise operations to report on their environmental impact and energy reduction success.

Jeff is a 3x founder with 2 exits, and an innovator at heart. He takes pride in being client focused and involved to ensure success. Jeff is an experienced windsurfer.
Sue Timmerman
Chief Operating Officer
Sue brings 27 years of healthcare expertise, including executive leadership and national roles in global affairs, with a strong background in operations management. Sue has a unique passion for her horse Sweet Pea.
Riley Stevenson
Chief Technology Officer
Riley leads our product engineering. Riley’s background is in computer engineering, graduating from the University of Saskatchewan. Riley is an avid sports player in his free time.
